Services For People Who Are Deaf and Hearing Impaired

NEAT provides recommendations, instruction and demonstration on adaptive equipment and assistive technology.

The NEAT Center at Oak Hill

A place where you can learn about products and equipment that assist people who are deaf and hearing impaired. A place where you can learn about products and equipment that assist people who are deaf and hearing impaired with day-to-day activities that they have trouble doing themselves. It is also a place to donate or buy adaptive medical equipment.
 

Adaptive Equipment & Assistive Technology

  • Instruction on hearing devices, demonstration on the latest adaptive equipment and software to communicate for people who are hearing impaired and deaf and the people who work with them.
  • Computer instruction for people who are deaf and hearing impaired
 

Work Site Assessment Referrals

  • Referrals to the American School for the Deaf to assist with work-site assessments and community supports for deaf and hearing impaired.

    • Birth to Three services to support families of children aged three and under with disabilities, including hearing impairments
    • Professional Development – comprehensive and on-going education for people who care for people with multiple disabilities, including hearing impaired
