Evidence points to the benefit of using visual for individuals with disabilities and other disabilities and this workshop will provide a multitude of low and high technology ideas on adapting materials to include the use of visuals. A variety of programs will be described and setups demonstrated including BoardMaker Plus, Clicker 5, Cloze Pro, PixWriter, Picture It, and others. The philosophy and research behind the use of visuals will be discussed. Handouts will be provided to participants listing visual resources that are available on the Internet. Participants are encouraged to bring materials they would like to share or to brainstorm about the ways that their materials could be adapted for their students. Show and Tell materials will be available for the participants to explore.
