The NEAT Center at Oak Hill has two primary components
- Demonstration Center – comprised of two Computer Labs; Training and Evaluation Rooms; an Exposition Hall; an Information and Resource Library and training, education and resources for people with disabilities, their families and the professionals who work and care for them.
- An Equipment Restoration Center – gently used durable medical equipment is donated, repaired and sold to consumers at a savings of 50% to 80% of the same item when new and a satellite office in Stratford, which is a partnership with the Connecticut Tech Act.

Other Services
- Assistive Technology (AT) Consultations and Evaluations – provides individual assessments for children and adults with disabilities; evaluates disability equipment that may enhance independence and quality of life; evaluations offered at the NEAT Center or at your school or home. - Membership – is free for individuals who have a disability, people over the age of 65, and family members. Professional members include individual clinicians/professionals, school districts, nonprofit organizations and businesses. - Microsoft Accessibility Resource Center (MARC) – only facility of its kind in the state; learn how to access features into current Microsoft Windows platform. These features can make the computer easier to use for people with low vision, wrist/arm discomfort, or hearing loss. - Assistive Technology Lending Library – a service that loans assistive technology devices (mice, tracking balls, switches, keyboards, etc.) to paid professional members of NEAT; ability to try products before you buy to see if they are right for you. - Professional Development – provides comprehensive training modules to the community with opportunities to earn CEU’s and targets educators, healthcare professionals, employers, families and caregivers. - Training in Assistive Technology – provides comprehensive training on the latest AT products and services with opportunities to earn CEU’s and targets educators, healthcare professionals, employers, families and caregivers.
- School Based Training and Technical Assistance – NEAT can come to you! Build your staff or team’s AT knowledge base, create an AT Team or gain more in-depth hands-on training regarding specific devices, we can customize our offerings to meet your needs.
- Vocational Program for the Blind and Visually Impaired is designed to help adults find employment, assistance with job readiness and interview skills, and identify transportation needs; instruction on magnification devices, demonstrations of adaptive equipment and software; computer instruction and work-site assessments and AT recommendations.
